Taixing city – which is located in East China's Jiangsu province – has implemented a strategy of strengthening itself through science and technology.
That's in the wake of the metropolis – administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou – being honored as a national innovative county-level place by the Ministry of Science and Technology in May.
Based on the strategic positioning of its resident industrial parks, Taixing is promoting the construction of innovative public service platforms.
As such, the chemicals test base in the Taixing Economic Development Zone broke ground and the China Institute of Bio-fermentation and Future Food Industry in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone is improving its functional support facilities.
In terms of policy incentives, Taixing has distributed about 100 million yuan ($14.11 million) in funds this year, benefiting 510 enterprises.
The city is also moving to become a youth-friendly city, with projects now underway in youth employment, entrepreneurship and human culture and growth, among other things.
