A smart city construction project has turned Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province smarter and has brought much more happiness to its residents.
The Taixing smart city and supporting facilities project was funded by China Railway Signal & Communication and it's adopted a government and social capital cooperation model.
The project covers the core architecture of two centers and six platforms, including a lithium battery and gearbox testing center and the construction of schools.
As of last year, all 21 subprojects of the project had started operating.

Through establishing a digital governance system, involving government-enterprise links and data sharing and creating convenient scenarios for residents and businesses, the subprojects provide more convenient and efficient public services.
One of them, the Taixing Normal Affiliated Primary School (Dongyang Campus), is innovating with an AI security monitoring plus cloud education model, benefiting over 1,000 students.
From healthcare to transportation and logistics, from industrial energy to agricultural development and from financial information to tourism and shopping, Taixing has also achieved overall optimization, intensive coordination and long-term operation through the smart city construction.
