Taixing city in Jiangsu province recently released its Three-Year Action Plan for High Quality Development of Taixing's Green and Intelligent Ship Industry (2025-27).
The overall aim is to inject strong momentum into the city's shipbuilding industry towards high-end, intelligent and eco-friendly development.
Under the blueprint, the invoiced sales of the city's green and intelligent ship sector are projected to exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion) by 2027.

Action will be undertaken by the city to accelerate the development of an optimal industrial layout. This will include taking the building of a national level green and intelligent ship innovation platform in Hongqiao Industrial Park as its core.
The creation of three zones is included, including a provincial-level new energy ship research and assembly demonstration zone in Hongqiao Industrial Park. Also included is a provincial-level new energy ship comprehensive service zone in Taixing Economic Development Zone and a provincial-level new energy ship key equipment research and manufacturing demonstration zone in Taixing Urban Industrial Park.
Moreover, the city will also promote the formation of ship support industry clusters in Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, Taixing High-tech Zone, Taixing Modern Agriculture Industrial Park and in Zhangqiao town, as well as in other industrial parks and towns.
The goal is that by 2027, Taixing will have attracted over five key core component manufacturers of green and intelligent ships.
