Taixing Urban Industrial Park, located in Taixing, Jiangsu province, is accelerating the transformation its ship supporting industry towards high-end, intelligent, and clustered development, with the goal of creating a distinctive mecca in the field.
The ship supporting industry is a traditional and advantageous industry in the park. Gathering over 40 enterprises above a designated size, the park has driven the coordinated development of over 150 industrial chain supporting enterprises and forming industrial clusters in fields such as environmental protection equipment, ventilation equipment, and deck supporting equipment.

In the production workshop of Taixing Xinglong Marine Machinery, a new type of marine multicore pipe is being mass-produced. By targeting this niche field, the company is able to consistently increase its market competitiveness.
"We have collaborated with renowned universities and institutions in China to develop 6-core tubes in addition to the existing 1-core, 2-core, and 4-core tubes. Our products are compatible with large cruise ships and LNG transport ships in China," said Xue Ping, deputy general manager of the company.

Another company, Jiangsu Yongsheng Air Conditioning, is mainly engaged in the research and production of special air conditioning products, which are widely used in grain storage, marine engineering, wind power generation, and other fields.
"The plan is for our company to focus on product research and sales in the special boutique ship sector, making more contributions to the industry," said Cao Yong, deputy general manager of the company.
Since the beginning of this year, the park has signed agreements on a total of 15 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.96 million) each, including six projects related to ship support and marine equipment.
"Looking ahead, the park will enhance matchmaking with State-owned enterprises, central enterprises, and universities and institutes, striving to attract more key industrial chain projects," said Meng Jia, deputy director of the park's management office.
