Maozhuang village in Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, has entered the floriculture and nursery industry in recent years, in a shrewd and lucrative move.
A dedicated cooperative for plum blossom planting was established in the village in 2018, planting red plums and green plums and other varieties on a large scale.
Every spring, the plum blossoms spread their fragrance, becoming a beautiful wave that helps boost the region's rural vitalization.

At present, the planting industry has expanded into a specialist industry that integrates planting, sightseeing, leisure and agricultural experiences, adding new vitality to the village collective economy.
Relying on its glorious plum blossom scenery, the village has also set up exhibition halls, opened farmhouses and built homestays, as well as held flower viewings, fishing and wine tasting activities, all in a bid to attract more tourists.
As an example, the village has introduced a crab deep processing venture, enabling tourists to taste delicious crabs and try the breeding process by themselves at a local cultural leisure center.
During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the leisure resort in Maozhuang village received nearly 10,000 tourists.
