Wincell Insulation, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, has built the city's first national-level fully connected 5G factory. This has not only increased the company's production efficiency by 40 percent but also offers a new path for the intelligent transformation of the traditional manufacturing industry.
A fully connected 5G factory is a factory that makes full use of new-generation integrated information and communication technology represented by 5G, creating new industrial Internet infrastructure and building or transforming production sites.
As a company producing green thermal insulation materials, environmentally friendly sound insulation and noise reduction materials, and more, Wincell Insulation has been actively pursuing digital transformation in recent years.
Traditional insulation material factories struggle with low efficiency, poor environment, difficulty in collecting comprehensive equipment data, and inability to integrate equipment data with management systems in a timely manner. Wincell Insulation's construction of the fully connected 5G factory has changed this situation.

"5G technology has boosted data sharing between our devices, allowed for real-time monitoring of production status, and improved the intelligence level of resource utilization, quality control, and production control in the production process," said Geng Kai, director of the company's rubber and plastic forming workshop.
Geng added that the technology increased the company's overall production efficiency by more than 40 percent, reduced production and operation costs by 12.5 percent, and reduced energy utilization by 17.5 percent.
