The county-level city of Taixing, administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in Jiangsu province, has continued to extend the layout of its industrial supply chain and promote the high-end development of agricultural products processing.

At the Taixing Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, the new deep processing plant being funded by Taixing Pengyuan Breeding is scheduled to be completed in late September.

Costing 164 million yuan ($22.97 million), it has introduced a flexible output model, independently developed by Jiangnan University, paving the way for a world-class, fully automated egg production line.

Another company Jiangsu Baihui Agricultural Development originally focused on partitioning pig carcasses into a range of pork products. In recent years it has developed an advanced processing supply chain for pork, after working with universities including China Agricultural University and Nanjing Agricultural University.

The company's intelligent sorting system can partition each pig carcass into more than 200 pork products.

Overall, in the first half of the year, Taixing attracted 23 new food production projects with a combined investment of 5.5 billion yuan, with 12 of them already breaking ground.
