The Changtai (Changzhou-Taizhou) Yangtze River Bridge in East China's Jiangsu province opened to traffic on Sept 9, strengthening transport connections between the two regions.
It will bring lower prices, more frequent schedules, and shorter travel times for public transportation services between the two regions.
The Changzhou-Taizhou convenience bus operates 24 round trips daily. The one-way ticket price is just 26 yuan ($3.65), nearly half the original price, while the travel time has been reduced by nearly one hour.
There are many bus stops in Taixing (a county-level city administered by Taizhou) along the route, meeting local demands for easier access to public transit.
To make it easier for Taixing locals to travel to and from Changzhou by high-speed rail, a new direct bus from Changzhou North Bus Station to Taixing Bus Station has been added, with a ticket price of 26 yuan and 24 round trips per day.
The original Changzhou Bus Station to Huangqiao town in Taixing has also been optimized, with the ticket price lowered and routes adjusted, making travel more affordable and convenient.
A dedicated line from Taixing Bus Station to Changzhou Benniu International Airport has also been added, with 12 round trips daily. The ticket price is 50 yuan per person and the travel time is around one hour, making it easier to catch flights.
In the future, the connection between Taizhou and Changzhou will become closer, and employment, medical treatment, shopping, and tourism between the two regions will be more convenient.
