Taixing in East China's Jiangsu province is committed to the rapid development of its photovoltaic industry.

From January to August this year, the city's newly installed photovoltaic capacity reached 234,000 kilowatts. Its photovoltaic power generation reached 852 million kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 87.6 percent.

To date, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics in the city has topped 1.11 million kilowatts.

The city has utilized abundant roof areas, good grid access conditions, and high-power load areas of industrial parks and industrial clusters to develop distributed photovoltaics.

In the past two years, Jiangsu Hongda Special Steel Machinery Plant has successively built 1.37 MW and 3.78 MW photovoltaic power stations.

Having received significant benefits, the company has launched the construction of its third-phase photovoltaic power station this year, which has now achieved grid-connected power generation.

From January to August, the company's photovoltaic power generation reached 4.8 million kWh, while the annual power generation is projected to exceed 7 million kWh.

Looking ahead, Taixing will combine photovoltaics with building, transportation, industry and more to add green power to the city's high-quality economic and social development.
