A series of "Taizhou Day" events were held at the University of Science and Technology of China on Oct 10, featuring a talent fair and industry-university-research matchmaking activities.
The event aimed to strengthen cooperation between Taizhou and USTC, better leverage university resources, and promote integrated development in industry, science, and talent.
During the event, the Taixing Economic Development Zone signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Advanced Technology of USTC, while the Taixing Pilot-Scale Incubation Industrial Park signed an agreement with a USTC team.
In his speech, USTC President Chang Jin noted that the university and Taizhou have long maintained close cooperation in scientific innovation and talent cultivation. He expressed hope that both sides will further link education, science, talent, and industry, and enable USTC's innovative strengths to flow more effectively into Taizhou's fertile ground for development.
Jiang Dongdong, Party secretary of Taizhou, extended an open invitation to USTC talent. "If you choose to work in Taizhou, our national-level laboratories and over 30,000 enterprises await your expertise. If you choose to start a business here, we offer up to 100 million yuan (around $14 million) in special talent support and funding up to 20 million yuan. And if you choose to live in Taizhou, the city — recognized as one of China's best for attracting talent — will help you settle in and thrive," Jiang said.
