Taixing has been selected as a pilot area for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jiangsu province, as announced by the provincial department of industry and information technology on Jan 8.
Two of its industrial clusters — marine water treatment equipment and low-carbon olefin extended functional materials — were included on the provincial pilot list.
This marks Taixing's leading role in advancing SME digitalization across the province. The pilot initiative, the first of its kind in Jiangsu, aims to support county-level administrative regions with distinctive industrial clusters and a foundation in digital transformation. It seeks to explore effective pathways for chain-wide and cluster-based digital upgrades, elevating the overall digital capabilities of SMEs.
Leveraging this opportunity, the Taixing municipal bureau of industry and information technology will foster the development of digital products and solutions, lowering barriers and costs for SMEs to embark on digital transformation. Meanwhile, the municipal finance bureau will enhance budget execution and performance management to create a dynamic ecosystem for digital transformation.
