Facing a complex global trade environment, Taixing, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, has charted a steady course for its foreign trade enterprises through market expansion, brand cultivation, policy implementation, and industrial transformation, achieving remarkable results.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the city's cumulative foreign trade reached $30 billion, marking a 50 percent increase compared to the previous five years.

Taizhou Yuanda Group, a major exporter of outdoor furniture and sporting goods, has forged stable partnerships with renowned global retailers by blending traditional Chinese rattan weaving techniques with products tailored to European and American markets.

The company has also diversified into the animation industry and established a factory in Cambodia, further expanding its global footprint. In 2025, its exports surged by 7.6 percent to $116 million, with a robust order book indicating strong growth prospects.

Taixing Jinjiang Chemical Industry, the world's largest acetate ester producer, achieved a record-high overseas market share in 2025, with exports reaching 536,000 metric tons.

With 618 active import-export companies — a 40 percent increase from the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20) — Taixing's foreign trade is poised to continue growing.
