Meiying (Jiangsu) New Materials, a subsidiary of Wincell Group, a leader in green thermal insulation materials and environmental sound insulation, has been named to the 2025 national 5G factory list, standing apart due to its fully digital 5G-connected facility that was built from the ground up rather than by retrofitting a traditional plant.

The end-to-end digital infrastructure integrates all production, management and supply chain systems, assigning a unique digital identity to every piece of equipment, enabling full traceability of every process and turning real-time operational data into actionable decision support.

The upgrades have lifted overall production efficiency by 30 percent, boosted the product qualification rate by 15 percent, pushed inventory accuracy to 100 percent and raised inventory turnover by 40 percent, with all on-site equipment connected to the 5G network.

The company is now leveraging its massive, accumulated datasets on glass wool formulations, fiber structures and thermal conductivity to train artificial intelligence models, shifting research and development from experience-based assessment to data-driven decision-making.

It is on track to build a world-class smart manufacturing base for ultra-high energy efficiency, ultra-low carbon and custom advanced insulation materials, offering a replicable model for China's traditional manufacturing sector.
