Eight smart factories operated in the Taixing High-tech Zone, Taixing city, Jiangsu province, recently received certification to be provincial advanced intelligent factories.
They include a transformer plant producing full element interconnections, being operated by Jiangsu Cosine Electric and a factory that makes self-positioning flexible connections for water intake pump ships, run by Jiangsu Zhongxing Water Service.

The essential requirements for advanced intelligent factories include enhanced digital and networked integration capabilities, widely deployed intelligent manufacturing equipment, industrial software and systems that can handle the typical scenarios presented by intelligent manufacturing.
Moreover, they must achieve interoperability and sharing of production and operations data, have precise control of key production processes and coordinated management and control of production and operations, as well as carrying out intelligent applications in various key scenarios.
In recent years, the Taixing zone has grasped the opportunities presented by the growing trend to intelligent and digital development, rolling out key incremental industrial transformation and upgrading itself through smart and digital transformation.
The zone has implemented a "three in one" model of policy guidance, services empowerment and benchmark demonstrations.
Through it, it has vigorously promoted "production line replacements", "machine replacements" and "enterprise cloud migration", accelerating its entry onto the new path of digital and intelligent development.
