Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province will seek to make more practical contributions to the city's development, said Chen Fengjian, Party secretary of Xinghua.
Xinghua will highlight the integration of technological and industrial innovation. It will adhere to the promotion of new industries through science and technology innovation projects, improve innovation policy support in areas such as smart transformation, digital transformation, and equipment updates, enhance the efficiency of offshore innovation centers, optimize services for high-level talent, and promote the implementation of more high-quality sci-tech innovation projects.
The city will also take active measures to promote in-depth reforms. It will coordinate the construction of 27 characteristic industrial areas and accelerate the construction of Dainan special alloy and Xinghua Economic Development Zone health food core areas in a bid to enhance the regional competitiveness of characteristic industries.
Multiple measures will also be taken to expand openness, which include upgrading berthing levels of local port, deepening cooperation with Shanghai Port in container business, and supporting enterprises in expanding into emerging markets.
In addition, Xinghua will strive to become a model in promoting common prosperity for its people. To this end, it will accelerate the implementation of breakthroughs in rural vitalization, boost wealth through the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, and provide high-quality public services, among other measures.
