During the Spring Festival on Jan 21-27, five scenic spots in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – will be open free to visitors.

The five spots are the Tiande Lake scenic area, the Kouan Carved Building scenic area, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Birthplace Memorial Hall, the Fengqi Lake scenic area and the Naval Craft Cultural Park.

The Tiande Lake scenic area covers an area of over 1,500 mu (100 hectares), including 500 mu of water area. It has constructed 13 exhibition gardens showing the styles and features of 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu province.

Dating back in time, the Kouan carved buildings were private structures during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Now visitors can enjoy the delicate carvings on them, with their diverse subjects – landscapes, people, flowers, animals, clouds, treasures and other patterns.

The Fengqi Lake scenic area includes one lake, five functional experience areas and five tourist sights. Visitors can relax and experience the beauty of the natural environment here.

What's more, visitors can learn more about the history and growth of the Chinese Navy at the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Birthplace Memorial Hall – and see magnificent warships and submarines in the Naval Craft Cultural Park.
