Three specialized medical purpose foods developed by Kwins Health Pharmaceutical Jiangsu Co, located in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently received market approval.
They include the Baiyouneng total nutrient formula, the Jiashanneng protein component formula, and the Bairuitian electrolyte powder formula.
These three products are expected to appear on the market in the fourth quarter this year.
As a technology-based enterprise centering on foods for special medical purpose, Kwins Health Pharmaceutical Jiangsu Co has been focusing on formula research for personalized clinical nutrition treatments.
Since its settlement in the zone in 2017, the company has invested over 600 million yuan ($83.61 million) into building its intelligent transparent factory and its full item testing laboratory.
As of now, the company has received approval to market four of its special medical purpose products. It also possesses over 10 products that are currently under research, with three of them finished clinical trials.
Under the trend of personalized nutritional therapy, foods for special medical purpose are expected to deepen product segmentation and provide personalized treatment for different patients.
