The national biopharmaceutical section of the 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held on Nov 23-24 in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – attracting the participation of 324 biopharma companies.
The national biopharmaceutical contest was the fifth in a series of contests in the 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
After strong competition, Universalvax Biotechnologies from the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – also known as Gaogang district – advanced to the finals, coming in second, meaning it will now compete in the national finals next month.
Founded in 2022, Universalvax Biotechnologies is developing a vaccine range of products that can prevent diseases caused by viruses and bacteria.
The company is composed of a core Chinese team in research, development, production management, quality assurance and project applications – as well as a new vaccine development team from the United States.
