The Baima Temple situated in Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is renowned for being the birthplace of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.
The zone held an event on April 22 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLA Navy.
National defense education books were presented to Baima town, where Baima Temple is located, the Memorial Hall of the Birthplace of the People's Navy and to Taizhou Navy Primary School.
A diverse range of activities were held to celebrate the anniversary.
