The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, continued to bolster rural vitalization and enhance the level of its modern agricultural industry throughout 2024.
The zone added five provincial-level agricultural leading enterprises this year and it is now home to 47 leading agricultural companies at or above the city level.
Moreover, the zone has been working to create an agricultural full industry supply chain development pattern by combining its high-quality grain and edible oil, animal protection, health food and other regional featured industries, and by taking its provincial agricultural product processing concentration zone, grain logistics industrial park and biopharmaceutical industrial park as carriers.
Great efforts have been made by the zone to boost the upgrading of its modern agricultural park. It has used 15 million yuan ($2.05 million) from provincial financial awards and subsidies to implement four new projects, including rice thinning and rice protein peptides and to improve the overall infrastructure.
The zone has also taken multiple measures to enhance rural talent nurturing, completing training for 360 high-skilled farmers.
