The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, is fostering the early completion and production of major projects, in a bid to spur regional high-quality development.
The Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission recently issued a list of key projects in the province for 2025, with two projects based in the zone's Chemical New Materials Industrial Park included in the list.
One is a polymer new material production plant being funded by Jiangsu Evergreen New Material Technology. Another on the list is a high-end lubricant and specialty oil production plant operated by CNOOC Oil & Gas (Taizhou) Petrochemical.
Costing 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion), the polymer new material plant will engage in production, research and development and sales of special unsaturated monomers, bio-based polymer material series products and high-end fine chemicals.

Sun Baixin, head of the project, praised the meticulous and thoughtful services being offered by the Chemical New Materials Industrial Park.
Sun said that during project negotiations, any questions were always discussed and promptly resolved by the park.
The project is expected to start construction in the first quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, the high-end lubricant and specialty oil production plant is projected to increase the company's annual production of premium lubricants and specialty oil products from 600,000 metric tons to 1.4 million tons on completion.
This will bolster the transformation of products towards high added value, high differentiation and high competitiveness.
