The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, recently achieved eye-catching results in green manufacturing.
Its biomedical industry park and chemical new materials industrial park were recognized as provincial-level green industry parks, while 14 enterprises based in the zone were recognized as provincial-level green factories.
A green factory is the core basic unit for green manufacturing, with the construction goals of land intensification, use of benign raw materials, clean and purified production, waste resource utilization and low-carbon energy. Green industry parks are platforms for the aggregation of green factories and green infrastructure.
In recent years, the zone has continued to optimize the energy consumption and raw materials structure of its key enterprises, promoted the synergistic efficiency of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and reduced the consumption of energy resources per unit of output, in a bid to bolster the high-end, intelligent and green development of industries.

Plans are for the zone to carry out more industrial green upgrading actions, undertake energy conservation, carbon reduction and efficiency improvement actions, and energy green transformation actions, making green development the zone's high-quality economic development path.
