The main building of the high-end medical device research and development industrialization plant, to be operated by Jiangsu Bonss Medical Technology, located in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, Taizhou city, Jiangsu province, is about to be topped out.
Costing 670 million yuan ($92.24 million), when complete it will have 63,000 square meters of production workshops, R&D centers, as well as auxiliary facilities including those for warehousing and hazardous materials storage.
The entire project includes nine individual buildings, with a total of 11 floors in the R&D building.

The topping out ceremony for the R&D building is expected to be held in early April and the remaining individual buildings are expected to be completed by the end of April.
In all, the project is expected to be completed and accepted in mid-September.
On completion, it is expected to produce 8,700 surgical hosts and 1.2 million surgical consumables annually. After production, it's projected to generate invoiced sales of 1 billion yuan and contribute 100 million yuan in taxes annually.
"After completion, the project can increase the production capacity of our company's existing plasma radiofrequency products, " said Xiong Jibin, deputy general manager.
"We will also develop more high-end medical equipment, including new minimally invasive energy technologies and surgical navigation," Xiong added.
