To honor the 76th birthday of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, a navy band performed in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province on April 19.
The music was a tribute to the city, known as the birthplace of the PLA Navy.
With the coming of the morning sunshine, over 60 PLA Navy band members arrived at the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Birthplace Memorial Hall in white uniform and in an orderly queue.
The performance featured classic military melodies, offering a wonderful musical feast for the audience.
"Military music is the soul of soldiers. As soon as it rings, our spirits are immediately uplifted," said Wang Zhaole, a 73-year-old veteran, standing in the front row and maintaining the standard posture.
The afternoon marching performance also caused a sensation, with the members changing formation to the rhythms of songs. When the pentagram and the "76" number formation appeared, the audience responded with excitement.
