A new intelligent gate system at the Taizhou International Container Terminal, a part of Taizhou Port in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, recently went into operation, achieving unmanned management of the gate and improving the efficiency of port operations.
The system integrates advanced technologies such as intelligent recognition camera systems, automatic weighing control systems, precise motor control systems and collision avoidance systems.
By doing so, it offers such functions as online advance reservations, automatic identification of inbound and outbound vehicles, autonomous sending commands and automatic verification of outbound trucks.

In the past, truck drivers had to complete various procedures at manual gates and service halls before entering the port and the entire process took 3 to 5 minutes.
Now, after making an online appointment in advance the vehicle will be automatically verified and released when passing through the gate, with a travel time of only 8 to 10 seconds.
When encountering situations such as inconsistent input information, abnormal recognition of license plates and container numbers, the system will automatically guide users to quickly enter the buffer zone for processing, avoiding prolonged delays.
