The Port Industrial Park of the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, is currently ramping up project construction, hoping to reap fruitful results throughout the year.
This year, the port industrial park strives to sign agreements for 28 new projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.91 million) each, break ground on nine newly launched projects worth over 500 million yuan each and complete construction on seven projects throughout the year, according to Zhu Haitao, deputy head of the Taizhou zone.
As a major provincial-level project, construction of the Suzhong Smart Logistics Park has attracted much attention. With an investment of 1 billion yuan, the project is being funded by Sinotrans Eastern, with three loading warehouses, two intelligent warehouses, and one cold chain warehouse already completed.
After completion, an operational model involving a shipping center, a smart storage and transportation center, a trade settlement center, and a smart logistics platform will be formed.
The environmental technology project funded by Best Drilling Equipment (Wuxi) and Wanhe Environmental Protection Equipment is expected to produce environmentally friendly dust removal equipment and drilling equipment. It is expected to generate annual invoiced sales of 140 million yuan.

In addition, the high-end health product project, operated by Jiangsu Huyou Health Food and funded by Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, will see the renovation of 12,000 square meters of factory buildings and the construction of a 9,000-square-meter clean factory equipped with 20 high-end production lines.
It will be able to produce 116 million bags of Huangqi or astragalus root coffee and 60 million bottles of probiotic fermented beverages annually. The project will drive the deep integration of traditional Chinese medicine and the health industry.
