Ground has broken on the biosafety and intelligent medical equipment production base project, based on a 100-million-yuan ($14.35-million) investment by Jiangsu Qualia Equipment manufacturing, in China Medical City, Taizhou, Jiangsu province.
Founded in 2019, the company serves as a production base operating under Shanghai Qualia Biotechnology.
The project will be built in two phases, involving the production of biosafety protective equipment, radiofrequency plasma vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) sterilization equipment, and AI robot production lines for biological laboratories.
This will fill the industrial gap in medical device disinfection and sterilization equipment in China Medical City.
As a core achievement in breaking the technological monopoly held by foreign countries, the radiofrequency plasma VHP sterilization equipment shows considerable technological strength.
This equipment uses environmentally friendly gasification hydrogen peroxide disinfection technology, leaving only water and oxygen as residues after disinfection, achieving green sterilization.
AI robots in biological laboratories are another important ingredient for the company's success, as they can help meet the intelligent upgrade needs in biomedical research, enhancing research efficiency and ensuring the standardization of experimental data, said Zhang Junfeng, general manager of the company.
The production line for biosafety protective equipment in the first phase of the project is expected to achieve mass production in March, while the production line for AI robots in the biological laboratory for radiofrequency plasma VHP sterilization equipment in the second phase is planned to be fully operational in January 2029.
Upon completion, the initial annual output value of the project is expected to exceed 50 million yuan.
