The Fengcheng River scenic area, located in downtown Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, is a national AAAA-level tourist area that integrates both enchanting natural landscape and cultural elements.

Along the river, there are more than 30 popular scenic spots that showcase the four characteristics of Taizhou culture: local history, opera, folk customs and business.

The core scenic spot in the Fengcheng River scenic area is the Wanghai Pavilion. It was built in Song Dynasty (960-1279) and rebuilt during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

With the Wangjiang Pavilion as the center, radiating on all sides are cultural venues such as Taoyuan Park and the ancient street.
