Things are being streamlined at the Taizhou Hailing Taxation Bureau – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – which kicked off a range of initiatives.
These comprise a series of measures, designed to provide tax services that are of a better quality and are more efficient – as well as being delivered with a warmer manner to customers.
Companies are already noticing the difference. Due to the increasing price of raw materials and the effect of COVID-19, Changfa Agricultural Equipment Co Ltd, had difficulty with its liquidity and with securing funds for projects in the first half of 2022.
But then the taxation staff of Hailing district stepped in, reimbursing 18.23 million yuan ($2.62 million) in retained tax refunds, helping the group get through the tough times.
In August, Hailing district opened the doors of an intelligent taxation service hall, generating applications such as self-help tax processing and online taxation administration.
Taxpayers can now use a real-time video link function with taxation personnel through an electronic platform and staff can help solve problems by using functions that include screen sharing and desktop collaboration.
