The wondrous Qiaoyuan Garden – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – was established during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is the earliest existing classical garden in northern Jiangsu.

It's changed owners over the centuries and the name Qiaoyuan Garden comes from Qiao Songnian, its proprietor during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The exquisite architecture – decorated with rockeries, bridges, lakes, stepping stones, valleys and seasonal flowers and plants – provides a wide variety of variegated scenery for visitors.
