The first 2025 Go Team Invitational Tournament of central areas in Jiangsu province was held in the Hailing district, Taizhou, from Jan 4 to 5. Go enthusiasts from Taizhou, Nanjing, Nantong, and Yangzhou gathered here to exchange their skills.
"I've heard that there are many go experts, and I'm looking forward to competing with them and exploring the boundless charm of this game together," said Shi Jun, a go player from Rugao in Nantong.
The game is designed to serve as a platform for go enthusiasts to display their talents, share skills, enhance the cultural and sporting life of local communities, and support the development of national fitness.
"Moving forward, we will continue to organize more events to meet the diverse fitness needs of citizens and contribute to building a healthy and vibrant Hailing," said Xu Tonghua, director of the Hailing bureau of culture, sports, and tourism.
