The Jingtai night market in Hailiang district, Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, completed renovations and reopened to the public recently.
Market manager Chen Xiaodong said that the renovation of the Jingtai night market involved an initial investment over 3 million yuan ($409,700), expanding the area to 12,000 square meters and increasing the number of stalls to 112.
The upgraded market now offers a variety of delicacies from across the country, as well as a container-style street of Taizhou's local cuisine and pop-up brand stores.
While retaining the original food section, the night market has added children's entertainment and interactive game areas and introduced exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage items, offering a cultural feast to visitors.
Furthermore, the night market features stalls selling clothing and creative commodities, providing a one-stop shopping experience.
