A sharing event for Plains and the Boy, the new work by Lu Xun Literary Award winner Pang Yuliang, recently took place at the Gongdu Study Room in Hailing district, Taizhou. It was co-organized by the Jingtai Road sub-district and the district's Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Born into a farming family in Xinghua, Jiangsu province, Pang organized the book into 24 essays aligned with the solar terms in traditional Chinese farming culture. From a boy's perspective, it reflects on agricultural life, family stories, and nostalgic childhood memories across the Northern Jiangsu plain.
During the event, Pang captivated the audience with vivid storytelling, drawing them into the narrative world of his youth.
During the interactive question-and-answer session, he covered subjects such as creative inspiration, writing methods, personal stories, and regional culture, providing thoughtful answers to readers' inquiries.
