Rice crops at Gangyang town's agricultural technology demonstration base in Hailing district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, are thriving recently, demonstrating advanced techniques for producing high-quality grain.
By conducting new variety trials, utilizing integrated technologies, and expanding large-scale cultivation, the base is fostering sustainable growth within the local rice industry.
Plots are dedicated to premium varieties, such as Taixiangjing 1402, Ningxiangjing 9, and Nanjing 9108, which are chosen for their high yields and resilience.
Innovative methods, including annual rice-wheat green productivity improvements and mechanized transplanting combined with slow-release fertilizer integration, have been adopted throughout the base.
"These new varieties and technologies give me greater confidence in farming," said local grower Zhao Wenwu.
In recent years, the agricultural and rural affairs bureau of Hailing district has enhanced its regional technical service systems by establishing ongoing training programs. Experts hold field workshops to provide practical guidance and immediate problem-solving, aimed at improving farmers' technical skills.
