Jiangsu Contech Feed Co, based in Hailing district, Taizhou, specializing in swine feed research, development, production, and sales, has consistently prioritized new product development and intelligent manufacturing upgrades in recent years.
Piglet Milk, the company's flagship product, has undergone annual iterative improvements for more than 10 years. The latest version offers better digestibility and increases immunoglobulin levels by over 10 percent, closely resembling sow's milk to support healthy growth and efficient nutrient absorption.
The antibiotic-free formula utilizes China's innovative approach of combining immunity-boosting nutrition with antibiotics-free technology. It incorporates yolk antibodies and colostrum-derived immunoglobulins to completely replace antibiotics, resulting in over a 40 percent reduction in piglet diarrhea compared to traditional zinc oxide methods.
This breakthrough product notably tackles key industry challenges by eliminating antibiotic dependence in weaning feeds and decreasing intestinal damage. It costs 30 percent less than imported options, filling a gap in China's market for precision, antibiotic-free weaning nutrition.
"R&D investment remains high this year, with seven to eight new products slated for annual release," said Hu Zhaohui, deputy general manager of Contech Feed.
Contech Feed boosts its R&D expenditure by 15 to 20 percent each year. Its 20-member research team works with Nanjing Agricultural University and Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College on industry-academia collaborations, holding 33 patents.
In the first six months of the year, the firm's output value reached 100 million yuan ($14.06 million), up 15 percent compared to last year, with annual revenue projected to exceed 200 million yuan, according to Hu.
