Jiangsu Airship Co Ltd in Hailing, Taizhou, has strengthened its position as a backbone enterprise in the automotive parts manufacturing sector through sustained technological upgrades and product innovation, actively cultivating new quality productive forces in recent years.
The company's production workshops are equipped with intelligent systems that automate the entire process from material feeding and pressing to welding and cooling.
"Over the past two years, we have consistently upgraded equipment across production lines. Each automated line now processes 20,000 transmission gear sets monthly, doubling per-capita efficiency compared to traditional methods while enhancing product quality," said Li Junhua, head of Jiangsu Airship's southern plant.
Since 2020, the company has pivoted toward new energy vehicles, transitioning from manufacturing single transmission components to producing complete differential assemblies for NEV, with ongoing expansion into integrated NEV supporting systems.
Jiangsu Airship spends nearly 5 percent of its revenue to research and development, developing over 60 new products and technologies annually, generating more than 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) in extra revenue.
In the first half of this year, the company produced over 11 million transmission gears, supporting more than 2.7 million vehicles. Invoiced sales rose nearly 18 percent year-on-year, capturing 16 percent of the national market in its segment.
