Hailing Port officially began operations on the morning of Jan 6, marking a major step forward in the development of inland logistics infrastructure in Hailing district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province.
Hailing Port is a specialized inland container terminal. It sits next to the western railway freight yard and is within close reach of Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport, giving it strong multimodal transport connectivity.
The port occupies a strategic position at the intersection of three national waterways, providing natural advantages in shipping routes and navigation.
With the start of full operations, all five 1,000-metric-ton berths will be put into service. The port is targeting container throughput of more than 100,000 TEUs in its first year.
By integrating dedicated sea-rail intermodal services and coordinated shipping routes, Hailing Port is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of regional cargo distribution and collection.
As a new inland logistics hub, the port is set to become an important pivot supporting supply chains across the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, further enhancing the region's connectivity and competitiveness.
