Shidi Photovoltaic Technology (Taizhou), a leading player in the solar industry based in Hailing district, is gearing up for a strong year with an ambitious output value target of 700 million yuan ($101.7 million). The company, renowned for its intelligent manufacturing of photovoltaic junction boxes and connectors, operates the industry's first ultra-large intelligent production base in Hailing.
With over 85 percent of its workforce already back on the job, the factory is buzzing with activity as it ramps up production to meet surging demand. Beyond manufacturing junction boxes for its strategic partner Tongwei Group, Shidi has diversified its product line to include nearly 20 new items, including connectors and smart junction boxes, showcasing its shift from pure contract manufacturing to independent R&D.

The newly developed junction boxes, offering both cost advantages and improved performance, are currently undergoing international certification, with plans to enter markets in India and the Middle East. After a strong start to the year, Shidi is set to play a key role in advancing Hailing's renewable energy sector.
