In a stunning achievement, Chinese motorcycle maker ZXMOTO secured the championship title at the WSBK (World Superbike Championship) Portugal event on March 28, marking China's maiden victory in an international mid-to-large displacement motorcycle racing competition.
This achievement not only showcased Chinese motorcycle prowess on the global stage but also highlighted the robust manufacturing ecosystem across the country.
Behind ZXMOTO's success lies a nationwide supply chain, featuring specialized enterprises and hidden champions. Notably, the "power heart" of its motorcycles — high-performance crankshafts, connecting rods, and engine blocks — were developed and manufactured by Jiangsu Gangyang Stock, based in Hailing district, Taizhou.
In December 2024, Gangyang undertook the challenging task of creating a triple-cylinder 820CC crankshaft, connecting rods, and engine casing for ZXMOTO's WSBK campaign. Leveraging advanced alloy materials and specialized heat treatment processes, the R&D team significantly enhanced component strength and fatigue resistance, ensuring stable performance at extreme speeds.

This victory has propelled the Hailing-based company from a crankshaft producer to a market leader, capturing over 60 percent of the domestic market share. It now aspires to become a premier manufacturer of high-end motorcycle components, driving China's two-wheeled industry to new heights.
