Orders are pouring in at Taizhou Youmin Power Technology, a company based in Hailing district that specializes in the research, development, production and sales of electric vehicle brakes and precision castings. The company's production lines are running at full capacity with backlog stretching into mid-June.
"Orders are chasing us," said production head Hu Jun. Workers are pulling overtime shifts to meet delivery deadlines, with schedules carefully rotated to keep fatigue in check.

Youmin may not be a household name, but its components quietly power millions of electric scooters and motorcycles across China. The company specializes in lightweight aluminum die-cast parts and electric brake systems — components found inside bikes from Yadea, Tailg, and Aima, China's top e-scooter brands.

General Manager Chen Rushan said the secret to their success is simple: every gram matters. "Range depends not just on the battery, but on component weight. One gram lighter means a little more range, and customers love that."
The company is now developing new lightweight materials and advanced molding processes to shave weight without sacrificing strength or safety.
Youmin is targeting 300 million yuan ($44.23 million) in output for 2026, with plans to expand into lightweight components for new energy vehicles.
