In Hailing High-tech Industrial Development Zone, a four-year-old advanced materials company is betting on youth to drive its expansion. Kahkee (Jiangsu) Advanced Materials has assembled a research team with an average age of 33, including numerous master's and doctoral graduates, to develop core components for the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.

Founded in July 2022, the company quickly became a key supplier of thermal field components, refractory materials and coated quartz tubes for solar manufacturing. Its flagship thermal field product, designed for high-temperature photovoltaic processing, offers precise temperature control and lower energy consumption. The firm has already been shortlisted for Jiangsu province's 2025 green factory honors.

Kahkee's human resources strategy centers on removing distractions so engineers can focus on innovation. "You handle the brilliance, we handle everything else," is how the company frames its promise to young hires. Career paths run clearly from assistant engineer to chief scientist, with compensation and rank advancing in tandem.

Government-backed support for housing and daily needs has helped anchor talent in Taizhou. The approach is paying off: the company posted revenue of nearly 116 million yuan ($17.28 million) last year and met its first-half targets for 2026 ahead of schedule.

With a young, highly educated workforce driving technical iteration and market growth, Kahkee is positioning itself as a rising force in China's new materials supply chain.
