High-rate lithium battery industry for power tools, electrical appliances
The high-rate lithium battery industry has become an important driving force behind the economy of the Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province.
High-rate lithium battery means that it has excellent discharge performance and is full of explosive power.
The zone has expanded from producing shell materials, aluminum laminated film, electrical core materials to batteries, electric motors, electric controls and other ventures.
It also focuses on lithium batteries, 5G communications, air purification and other new materials-related industries.
The goal is to build a new energy materials industry cluster worth over 10 billion yuan ($1.47 billion), with its core being the high-rate lithium battery industry for power tools and electrical appliances.

Bio-fermentation and future food industry
This industry in the Huangqiao EDZ focuses on the direction of high value-added bio-fermentation and high-end future food – and focuses on the path to science and technology or S&T innovation and energy conservation and environmental protection.
It is making moves to develop an eco-friendly S&T industry cluster by extending the industry supply chain, focusing on functional enzymes, functional sugar, functional polypeptides or amino acid, functional probiotics and future high-end food.
Moreover, it is striving to transform its "Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China" into a demonstration project, which will aim to represent international trends in China and present high Chinese standards to the world.
Intelligent wind power equipment industry
The Huangqiao EDZ has now established the industrial foundations for precision castings, precision machining, core components production and complete sets of equipment manufacturing for the intelligent wind power equipment industry.
Leading enterprises in the industry include Huierxin Machinery, Siensol Environment Protection Industry Group, Bentian Machinery Technology, Optical Vacuum Technology (Taixing), among others.
