As China works toward its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, Huierxin Machinery (Taixing), located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, Taixing city, Jiangsu province, has been transforming and upgrading itself through intelligent manufacturing and digital technology.
It has established a digital system driving the entire plant and now controls its comprehensive energy consumption per unit output value below 60 percent of the industry average.

At present, the annual power generation of the first phase of the project has reached 4 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to saving 1,600 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 4,000 tons.

In the company's manufacturing workshop, the self-developed iron mold sand covering technology is replacing the traditional resin sand casting process.
"This disruptive innovative technology reduces energy consumption by 12 percent and solves the problem of harmful gas emissions generated by the resin sand processes," said Cheng Yulong, workshop director of the company.
This year, the aim is to build a top-flight intelligent factory, as well as to promote the company's overall transformation and upgrading with intelligent manufacturing and digital technology.
The group will also continuously transform and improve its infrastructure and intelligent manufacturing system, aiming for high efficiency and high benefits, according to Lyu Jianjie, deputy general manager.
