The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu province's Taixing is actively working to establish itself as a promising center for the future growth of food for special medical purposes, leveraging its significant potential, advantages, and assurances.
According to this year's special action plan to promote healthy consumption, this type of food is currently identified as a key development sector.
The clustering of leading industry-related enterprises, such as Dongsheng Biotech (Taixing), has provided an advantage for the zone to develop the industry.

The zone has built the Bio-Fermentation and Future Food City of China, which includes the China Institute of Bio-Fermentation and Future Food, the National Innovation Center Excellence Institute of Food for Special Medical Purposes, and the Jiangsu Province Future Food Quality Inspection and Testing Center.
The China Institute of Bio-Fermentation and Future Food Institute is led by Chen Jian, Jin Zhengyu, Xie Mingyong and Pang Guofang, four academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
The zone offers comprehensive services covering the entire project lifecycle, from construction to operation, enabling investors and entrepreneurs to invest, launch, and run their businesses smoothly and worry-free.
To further secure ongoing projects, the zone has implemented a range of measures. For example, it has set up several pilot-scale production facilities certified with safety certificates (SC), covering areas like whole grain concentrated liquid specialty foods, solid beverages, and compressed candies. These steps aim to facilitate a smooth transition of products from research and development to practical application.
