The China Ultra-Precision Machining Demand Matching and Achievement Conference and the Promotion Meeting of the Precision and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry was held on May 19 in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province.

In recent years, Jiangyan has been vigorously developing itself as an industrial powerhouse and precision machining is one of its major sectors, with its revenue topping 10 percent of the district's overall industrial revenue.
Influential academics, business executives and experts in the field were invited to the meeting to share their ideas and experience in the field of ultra-precision machining.
Harbin Institute of Technology Professor Sun Tao said in a keynote speech that ultra-precision machining technology had developed rapidly in recent years and had become an important driver for advanced manufacturing in China.
Sun added that with the help of this exchange, attendees could promote the development of the field and make new achievements, as well as unify their efforts to achieve the commercialization of technological results.
Also at the event, Liu Xiaobin, the head of investment promotions department of the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, promoted the local precision and intelligent manufacturing industry.
