Storage battery producer the Shuangdeng Group, based in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently recognized nationally.
It was included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, or MIIT's list of model cases for improving industrialization and informatization.
The list was unveiled on the MIIT's website on Nov 21, after a selection process that lasted months.
In September, the ministry launched a campaign to identify enterprises that excelled in quality management, technological innovation and applications – as well as those that had improved their overall reliability.
The initiative aims to enhance the quality management capabilities of industrialization and informatization, promote innovative applications of quality technology, improve product reliability and showcase exemplary advanced experiences.

The Shuangdeng Group is primarily involved in the research and development, production and sales of batteries and new energy products.
The company has become a strategic partner for Fortune 500 enterprises such as China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Tower, Huawei and ZTE.

What's more, it has obtained ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality management system certifications and is pushing hard to boost its overall product quality.
With over 30 full-time quality engineers, Shuangdeng Group is equipped with management software solutions to promote informatization. By utilizing various advanced tools, it can reduce deviations and substandard product quality during the design phase.
