The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently added another accolade to its belt, when resident manufacturer 5ELEM was recognized as a national-level demonstration enterprise in the field of intellectual property, or IP.
Specializing in fiber-reinforced composite technology and composite special pipe products, 5ELEM has already been awarded many national-level titles including being named as a national green factory and a national little giant.

With a global vision of becoming a leader in high-end flat hoses and pipe network repairs, 5ELEM has established production and supply chain bases in Taizhou, the United States, Vietnam and Belgium.
It also operates research and development institutes in Taizhou, Shanghai, Taipei and Belgium – along with engineering centers in various countries.
Furthermore, 5ELEM has built provincial enterprise technology centers, engineering research centers and innovation practice bases in Jiangsu.
Collaborations with top institutions like Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Melbourne in Australia have further bolstered its expertise.
The latest honor is widely viewed as recognition for 5ELEM's strategic management of IP, comprehensive capabilities, competitive advantages and industry influence.
What's more, the accolade is said to reflect the highest recognition by the state for IP management.
Overall, the achievement is also understood to reinforce the thriving IP ecosystem in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – showcasing its commitment to fostering innovation and supporting enterprises prioritizing their IP management.
