At the conference, Jiangyan EDZ outlined both long-term and annual goals. The zone seeks to become one of the top development zones in Jiangsu province within three years, with a gross regional product accounting for over 30 percent of Jiangyan district's total and industrial sales surpassing 40 percent.
For this year, the zone aims to secure a leading position in both Taizhou-level and Jiangyan district-level high-quality development rankings. Key targets include 8 percent GDP growth and a 13 percent increase in industrial sales. The zone also aims to start construction on 21 projects and complete 14 projects, each valued at over 100 million yuan ($13.77 million).
To meet these targets, the zone aims to establish as a major precision manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta region, focusing on new energy equipment manufacturing, automotive, marine, and rail transit component manufacturing, and electronic information intelligent manufacturing.
The zone will also focus on building smart factories and intelligent workshops, accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of industries in order to achieve sustainable development.
