The project team has developed the industry's first low-temperature intelligent sodium-ion battery for telecommunications, which has already seen scaled application in cold-climate regions such as the Xizang autonomous region and Qinghai province. It also won China's first centralized procurement bid for sodium-ion battery energy storage in telecom base stations, offering Shuangdeng Group a strategic advantage in the low-temperature energy storage market.
This achievement reflects Jiangyan's commitment to fostering innovation-oriented enterprises. By organizing targeted industry-academia matchmaking events and publishing detailed enterprise needs lists, the district has encouraged collaboration between key players in its industrial chains and leading universities and research institutions, fueling momentum for Jiangyan's ambition to become a prime decision-making manufacturing hub in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Jiangyan has also pioneered a distinctive "1 + 4 + N" offshore innovation network model. Leveraging offshore innovation centers in Nanjing, Wuhan, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, the district taps into premier academic and technological resources to attract high-quality offshore incubation projects, while partnering with numerous flagship enterprises through satellite R&D centers.
Adding further support, multiple financial institutions, investment funds, and venture capital firms have introduced a suite of innovation-focused financial products and services, injecting continuous capital into Jiangyan's technology-driven development.
