The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu released the 2025 list of Advanced Smart Factories on May 15, with 21 enterprises from the Jiangyan district making the list, one of the highest counts in Taizhou.

An advanced smart factory refers to a facility with integrated digital and networked systems, capable of deploying intelligent manufacturing equipment, industrial software, and management systems on a large scale. These factories enable data sharing across operations, precise control of key production processes, and coordination of production and business activities.
One listed company, Jiangsu Pacific Precision Forging, exemplifies this transformation. By embracing digital and intelligent technologies, the company has built a "5G + digital cockpit" and an industrial internet platform, integrating systems such as SAP, PIMS, WMS, and SRM. This enables full-process coordination across R&D, procurement, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and sales services, setting a benchmark for smart factory development in the region.
Moving forward, Jiangyan district plans to continue implementing its three-year action plan for intelligent transformation, digital transition, and network connectivity-themed activities, advancing smart factory construction at all levels.
